Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we are unable to bring you our usual programme of activity for Northumberland Day 2020. However, what we do have are some competitions and a special image for you to share on social media. Head to our 2020 Zone page to find these. Award-Winning Marmalades: Tasting Sessions at A Taste of Northumbria
20th May 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Award-winning marmalades will be making their way to A Taste of Northumbria in Alnwick, along with their creator – the Mad Jam Woman, a conserve-making legend from Amble.
Sandy, aka the Mad Jam Woman, won several accolades at the internationally renowned World Marmalade Festival, held at Dalemain near Penrith, this year’s scooping a commendation for her Lime with Hepple Gin, a Silver medal for her Lemon with Lavender and a Silver for her Orange, Ginger and Chilli. Additionally, she took home a Bronze for her Black Rory Coquet Whisky marmalade.
Rumour has it there could be a new marmalade on offer at this event at A Taste of Northumbria – made with Holiday Island gin. Yum yum!
