Launch of Brand-new, Limited-Edition Sea Kelp Infused Gin: A Taste of Northumbria, Alnwick

The 2018 winner of the Northumbie Award for ‘Best Foodie Event or Initiative’, a Taste of Northumbria, is helping to celebrate Northumberland Day by launching its brand-new gin the day before the official big day. This will be an Alnmouth gin with interesting botanicals that make it a unique little tipple.
The botanicals in question will include samphire, sea kelp, lavender, cardamom and pepper, which makes this gin truly extraordinary, as special licences are required to forage for sea kelp. Only 130 bottles will be released in the first batch, so if you want to be one of the first to experience this treat, the shop in Alnwick is the place to be. The other way to get your hands on one will require you to keep up with all the news at the Northumberland Day Facebook page.
Some of this brilliant gin launch celebration will spill over into Alnwick market, also being held on the day and where a Taste of Northumbria will have a stall, to spread the love of its new gin even further. Also there will be the other foodie delights being launched during the days prior to this event – St Aidan’s and St Cuthbert’s ales, ‘proper’ chocolates filled with Alnwick Rum, Mad Jack Ha’ IPA from the First & Last Brewery and special conserves from The Mad Jam Woman.
